Welcome to the Holler!

...the unique source for bluegrass guitar on the internet!  Around here we play bluegrass, because that's the music we relate to and love.  We have many resources for bluegrass guitarists from instructional materials, to tablature of contemporary bluegrass and old-time bluegrass to want ads.  The forum is where we all congregate.  Bluegrass music (old-time music is okay too) is what we discuss... so pull up a chair and join in. Yeah there are plenty of sites out there that cater to bluegrass enthusiasts, but this is the one that caters to bluegrass guitar players.  So the next time a banjo player or mandolin player says you aren't special..... you can look them straight in the eye and say "I am when I'm in the holler!"

8-26-09 WOW! The site has been messed up for quite some time. I had an "iframe injection hack". I had tons of index.php, index.html, and other pages that the hackers put links to spyware sites in after my FTP login got compromised. I apologize to anyone who visited the site and got spyware on their computer due to this. The site has been thoroughly cleaned and I just had to junk the message forum and some of the other dynamic pages. Its okay. This has given me an excuse to create and bigger and better guitarholler.com, one that will actually draw some interest. On a side note any of you hackers (criminals) out there can kiss my %$@#$! #$@!@

John Cowan, Curtis Burch and Courtney Johnson.... and the schedule is loaded with Cadillac Sky, The Infamous Stringdusters, IIIrd Tyme Out and many more..  It should be an awesome festival!

3-26-09 Bluegrass goes underground!  Bluegrass is currently being played live in the most curious of venues.  Cumberland Caverns in mid-eastern Tennessee is one of the latest bluegrass venues and it offers listeners a great experience.  Some great acts have played there including Cherryholmes, Steep Canyon Rangers, Cadillac Sky and the Infamous Stringdusters... actually playing music in caves isn't a new phoenoma... its been played in many caverns in Kentucky in the past and its something many people are seeking to revive... read more here
